Webinar: Building an Active User Dialogue with the Balkans, Middle East & North Africa

An online event on the European Union's Earth Observation (EO) Programme ‘Copernicus’, was organized by the BEYOND Centre | IAASARS |NOA in collaboration with PRAXI Network/FORTH, on the 23th November 2022.

The webinar aimed to provide the necessary connections between different users in the Balkans, Middle East and North Africa for a dialogue, which will allow the achievement of collaboration. Examples of uptake actions, success stories and discussions on 2 different EO thematics (Natural Disasters and Sustainable Agriculture) were included. Additionally, according to the stakeholders’ needs, as they were identified in a dedicated questionnaire, the EO thematics of Epidemics and Wild fires were also presented. Finally, in conjunction with Action 2018-2-22 an EO-thematic oriented matchmaking session was also offered to participants, in order to initiate in-depth discussion and networking among them.

In total ~70 participants, representing Public/Commercial Sectors, Academia and Scientific Communities from different countries in the aforementioned regions attended the webinar.
