CUP4SOIL: User Survey - Future Copernicus Land Monitoring Service for Soils (Results are now online) (25.02.2024)

Survey on requirements and wishes for future soil products provided by the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS) is finished! Please see our results here.

The CUP4SOIL project aims at a downstream service to support national and European agencies for reporting on soil health/quality and contribute to Land Degradation Monitoring (LDN) and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 15.3.1) reporting. For this purpose, the project has organised a survey on requirements and wishes for future soil products provided by the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS). We have been interested in questions like:

  • Which Earth Observation-derived product can help you with soil health, soil quality and/or soil erosion?
  • What is the spatial scale that you are working on?
  • How should data access be organised?

This survey was for:

  • EU institutions and bodies, European, national, regional or local authorities;
  • universities or any other research and education organisations;
  • commercial and private users;
  • charities, non-governmental organisations and international organisations.

The results are now published here.

Many thanks for all that have participated. The results are forwarded to the European Environmental Agency (EEA).
