'Working Group Africa' project kicks-off!

The Working Group (WG) Africa project's kick-off meeting took place virtually on 20 December 2022.

The 24-month WG Africa project is a joint effort of 12 national institutions (and their subcontractors) originating from 8 different European Countries, in the framework of the FPCUP Project.

The project’s main objective is to enhance capacities in Africa in the sector of Earth Observation from Space, in particular in the context of GMES & Africa. For doing so, the WG Africa consortium has tailored an Action aiming at leveraging the use of Copernicus data in Africa through a training of trainer's Programme. In the kick-off meeting, the project partners together with the members of the Advisory Committee, got the opportunity to meet, discuss about the project, and plan their future steps.
