FPCUP Actions in Greece: Information and Training events
In the framework of the FPCUP project, the Greek partners (Operational Unit “BEYOND Centre of Earth Observation Research and Satellite Remote Sensing” of the National Observatory of Athens and PRAXI Network/FORTH,) have jointly organized a series of National Information- & training-events.
The main objective of these events was to communicate Copernicus and enable Greek users. The implemented FPCUP Actions aimed to particularly demonstrate the emerging opportunities from using Copernicus to new groups of people, previously not aware of it but potentially very interested.
A series of info-days, seminars and training activities were delivered to a wide spectrum of target groups that include stakeholders from the General Public, the Private Sector, the Public Sector as well as Academia and Schools.
As a whole, the participation in the events was high and the overall feedback was positive, stating that there is an increased need to leverage the knowledge and the capacity for Copernicus in Greece. More information- & training-events will take place in the coming months.

- 140 registered stakeholders in the FPCUP EO mapping database
